How does income affect my daily metrics?
To avoid confusion, these daily metrics are not affected by income. They are pure spending metrics:
- Daily Average
- Daily Budget
- Total to Date
- Surplus/Deficit
- Total Spend
These metrics only depend on your expenses and your budget.
To see how your income compares to your expenses you can look at these metrics:
- Balance ( = Income - Total Spend)
- Total Income
How does income affect my budget?
You can select “Add to budget” under “Advanced Options” when adding an income entry. This will increase your trip budget by the income amount. Else, your budget won’t be affected by your income.
How can I deduct money from my total spending?
If you want to enter negative spending that’s deducted from your spending metrics you can enter a refund payment.
